Hi all and welcome to another week on the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge
Thank you for joining us for the Take A Leap Challenge and we hope you will all join us again this week too.
This week we are challenging you to
MAKE YOUR OWN BACKGROUND
There are so many different techniques and products we can use to create our own one of a kind backgrounds! From Stencilling to Gelli Printing, Embossing and Stamping, the list is endless and we will be looking forward to seeing what products and techniques YOU decide to use!
We are showcasing Darkroom Door Products this week, you don't have to use them to join in, but if you have them we would love to see them used on your projects!
As always Simon Says Stamp will be giving away $50 voucher to shop at the fabulous Simon Says Stamp Store
I am getting ready for the lovely days of Spring and used a Carved Birds Vol 2 Stamp Set
I have been buying quite a few bird stamps lately and I just couldn't resist adding this cute Carved Birds Vol 2 Stamp Set to my collection! I inked some Watercolor Paper with Tumbled Glass, Mowed Lawn and Stormy Sky Distress Inks and then used a Hero Arts Polka Dot Background Stamp, inked with the same inks to add some more interest. When that was completely dry I used a Simon Says Stamp Leaves Background Stamp and White Embossing Powder to add another layer. I colored the birds with Distress Inks and fussy cut them out, popping them on the front with 3D foam.
While I had the stamp set out I just HAD to make another card!
This time I stamped the birds with Archival Black ink and masked before using a stamp positioner to stamp the next bird. I then masked all of the birds before inking, stamping, stencilling and embossing the background.
Can you see the little bird did actually reach the stars!! ;-)
So now it's YOUR turn to get all inky and artsy!
